About Us

In January 2000 the first edition of The Challenger magazine was printed and distributed in Cranleigh. The Challenger magazine was the brainchild of Kate Fernandes who wanted to provide a colourful and professional magazine for the community of Cranleigh. She decided to call the magazine The Challenger as it began in the first month of the new millennium and felt it would be a challenge for the 21st century.

After much hard work and research the first edition proved a great success and the Cranleigh magazine grew from strength to strength and with each following edition becoming more popular.

Richard Swallow, Studio Director, has been with the magazine from day one and has helped maintain a continuity in the graphic department with his expertise. Richard feels that each business needs to be treated with individual support to ensure we get the best results for the clients.

The first edition, with its distinctive front page, has been the forerunner of many striking and innovative styles, each depicting the month it represents. As the Cranleigh & District magazine became established the distribution grew to include Dorking and Reigate, all areas proving to be very popular and with one of the largest distribution figures in the south-east we are able to reach a large readership.

Each month we cover set articles on health/money matters, diary of events, a local ramble, horoscope, gardening and we try and include a colouring or craft competition for the children, which has proved very popular.
